What to do when.

A really huge number of guys believe in maintaining a macho individual identity. Though this might earn them a few stares, that's as far as it get them. Try mirroring the girl you are after!

• following - Though your mind screams every minute. "Stop it you dope!", do what she does. After all the bottom line is to get her comfortable and establish a rapport with her, right? So even though you feel sissy in imitating some of her actions, go right ahead and do it!
• pacing - Doing something simultaneously. Sounds impossible? Not quite. Remember when you both reached down at the same time to pick that book lying on the floor? Well your hands brushed across each others and that triggered off sparks, and even set you giggling. Well setting the pace and doing things at the same time has some sort of a supernatural sensuality about it. Till now she has been leading [because you have been following] now it is time to move into the second stage of doing things together. And then you move to leading.
• leading - if you've done your mirroring right, have followed and paced, then you are ready for a revelation. You can lead! Try it. Cough. She coughs. Scratch your elbow. Well maybe she'll scratch her shoulder instead of her elbow, big deal! In addition to being a tool of building rapport, you can lead her into doing some pretty fun stuff. Do a movement with your hands mimicking the parting of legs (this should be associated with something you are talking about, if it looks strange, she'll notice it and you don't want her conscious attention on your movements, keep her mind busy with what you're talking about).
